Summer in H!X-City

Hot town summer in H!X city, back of my neck feeling dirt and gritty.. Wow..man it has been a hot one in south Texas. Hope you have a nice cool place to hang for the summer.
Howdy and welcome to my site. It's great to have you drop by. ALOT has been going on. We have finished our (The H!X) Augie Meyers project and now he is sending it off to his connection up north. Keep your fingers crossed and the prayers coming that something positive will take place soon. More details to follow, but for right now just know that Augie is placing the H!X in some very big hands.
The H!X CD is still in the works. We are all very excited about this record (CD). We are in and out of the studio as time become available. Salmon Peak www.salmonpeak.com (Mark Senko) has been very gracious in allowing us the use of his fine studio and we will be forever in his debt. If you are looking for a great studio, look no futhur than Salmon Peak in San Antonio Tx. It is the best
The Kerrville Folk Festival has come and gone. I was very fortunate to play the main stage with my friend and wonderful tunesmith Eric Taylor. His new CD is great. It's titled the Great Divide, and it's available at www.bluerubymusic.com I also played a set with Tom Prasada Rao and Cary Cooper ww.thedreamsicles.com, which was a lot of fun. This year was a very good yer for me at Kerrville, I made a lot of new friends and contacts, got a couple of house concerts, a little 9 day tour up north and hooked up with my songwriting buddy Jay Mankita for a little Texas tour in November www.jaymankita.com All in all it was a great time of wonderful music with great friends.
My wife and I have been working on our yard, planting grass and other such things. It has to be done in the early morning, it's too hot after about 11 a.m. But it is starting to look like a yard instead of a weed field. My neighbors may start speaking to me again soon. I am working on the outside of the house trying to get it ready to paint. We are building a screened in porch and several other projects, from our never ending project list.
Spent a great Fathers day with my Dad Claude C.Morgan Sr., a WWII Veteren ,and my best friend. We went to the lake and hung out with the rest of the family. Natalie, our grand daughter by my son Trevor and wife Karen, my oldest son Sean and his wife Georgett, assorted friends. We ate too much and had a great time. I am so fortunate to have such a GREAT family.
Well this is a little long winded. Hope your having a great time in life. Keep looking up, and hope to see you down the trail. Your pal, Claude"Butch"Morgan
